Bubble Up With Curious Minds

The Problem: Produce an identity and appropriate collateral for Bubble Up, a Summer art workshop programme for 11-12 year olds. The identity needs to work in a professional context, appealing to parents and school administrations yet still be bold/bright enough to attract and empower the young people who will engage with the workshops

The Solution: The logo communicates ideas of transitioning from year 6 to year 7, leaving one bubble for another and moving on to bigger and better things. This reasoning is what won the client over and made this the best choice for the project. It also had the added impact of the population just coming out of Lockdown #1, where safety bubbles and small networks of people were still very much at the forefront of people’s minds. We chose yellow and orange for the main colours, a reflection of the ideal Summer weather and paired this with bold, rounded and friendly typography. The identity was extended to products for participants of the workshops, which drew influences from music festivals. Wristbands, t-shirts detailing the workshop line-ups, and finally participation certificates
